Hi Coach and Staff T,
‘Id just like to begin by saying a HUGE THANK YOU for making me feel happy again and good about myself! For the pushing, the motivation, and for making each camp a challenge!
My testimonial/ review as agreed, once the weight had stayed off!
I started my journey with Back 2 Basics Boot Camp on the 6th of March at 15stone 2lbs, by the 15th of May and 5 camps later I had lost 3 stone, 42 inches of pure body fat, I have tons less cellulite, I am so much fitter, and my body is more toned, I also have a positive, happy mind set!!
I was so unhappy and wouldn’t go out to see anyone. I was embarrassed about the way I looked. I finally got to the point where I was determined to sort my life out.
I was looking on the internet for boot camps, Back 2 Basics came up and I thought this was just what I needed, no other boot camp had the mind/emotional side, as well as the fitness all in one
camp and compared to the others advertised it was also extremely good value for money! I’d saved up the money originally to go travelling with a friend, but I didn’t go in the end. I knew investing in myself was the best thing I could ever do with the money, so I booked 4 camps within a month of starting the first one. I must point out here that before I was allowed to do this I was interviewed at great length as to why I would want to do so many camps; as Back 2 Basics philosophy is, once you have done 1 Boot Camp you shouldn’t need to have to do another. I am pleased after they heard my reasons that they allowed me to do so.
I’d never been to a boot camp before, but I had seen Boot Camp programmes on TV.
I had an idea of what I was about to put myself through. However, I basically thought I have put all this rubbish into my body, been fat, greedy and lazy with everything, so I should allow myself to go through this!! If I didn’t I would have ended up staying unhappy at 15.2 stone for the rest of my life!!
My first camp was very challenging! The hills, hmmm well they were even more challenging. Everything was challenging. I got to some points where I was upset, but as explained clearly by Coach, it is good to let it all out!
When I started camp I couldn’t think of any emotional problems that I needed to work on, but as my week progressed I realised I had a lot of emotional problems that I had to address if I was to conquer my weight issues. Camp by camp, I was losing weight, losing inches, sorting out my emotional problems, getting less out of breath, the hills became easier and I could get up them a lot better, I was getting tons fitter, and realising that I could now be happy again!
From the word go (6th march) and during the 5 camps I did I was so determined I never thought of quitting, nothing was stopping me now; I was on my own journey. Well, 5 Camps later and I’ve done it!!!
My advice to anyone thinking about doing a Back 2 Basics Boot Camp is this, it can be done and you can lose the weight, If you choose to be a winner and not a quitter!!!!! Also don’t take things soo seriously, you can smile at camp, it’s the best thing to do in fact!!
The guys know their stuff and as I have found and they will support you long after camp has finished.
A word of warning, Coach tells all the Recruits this has to be a lifestyle change as it is too easy to ‘fall asleep’ again by going back to eating too much – Unfortunately I found this out the hard way!
I finished my last camp as a Recruit and decided to binge out for a couple of weeks, and basically to be greedy, fat and lazy again. I thought I deserved to having just finished all these camps, which some people quit first time. The simple rules I was taught went out the window. Within 2 weeks of taking this disastrous decision I weighed myself and id put on 12 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are taught at Camp to take ownership of your life so I took ownership after this, applied everything that I was taught and I was back on track. In my first week I lost 5 pounds, the second week another 5 pounds and before I knew it I was back to the weight I was at the end of my last camp!!
The mind therapy part of the camp was excellent, for a start, you are taught that whatever you do in your life it is your choice! A simple thing yet I have never had that drummed into my head to practise, so never realised it.
Coach & Staff T had an excellent way of teaching us, it has changed me and the way I think, in many great ways!!
I have learnt masses, when I look back and see what I have been taught, I never would have thought my brain was big enough to fit it all in, but it has!!
